This lubricant uses a specially prepared hindered-ester base stock combined with a dedicated additive package to provide resistance to deterioration and deposit formation while maintaining the physical properties required by engine builder and military specifications. It is approved under MIL-PRF-23699 in the High Thermal Stability classification and meets the SAE AS5780 HPC performance standard.

The effective operating range extends from −40 °C (−40 °F) up to 232 °C (450 °F), with low pour point and controlled low-temperature viscosity supporting cold starts and lubrication at low ambient temperatures. Laboratory and service experience document bulk oil stability at elevated temperatures with low evaporation rates to limit oil loss. The formulation reduces bulk oil oxidation by up to 50 percent compared with a typical Type II turbine lubricant and provides deposit control capability at temperatures 50 °F higher.

The oil is compatible with metals used in gas turbine construction and with seal materials including F Rubber (Viton A), H Rubber (Buna N), and other standard elastomers used in aircraft engines and accessories. It is suitable for use in engines and accessories such as auxiliary power units, constant-speed drives, integrated-drive generators, starters, and air cycle machines where lubricants meeting MIL-PRF-23699 HTS or SAE AS5780 HPC are specified.
